Patna : The COVID-19 cases in Bihar jumped to 1,56,866 on September 12, 2020, as 1,421 more persons including 205 from Patna, 67 from Muzaffarpur, 62 from Araria, 60 from Purnia, 53 from Madhubani, 51 from Katihar, 50 from East Champaran, tested positive to it on September 11, 2020.
According to State Health Department, 47 persons from Gopalganj, 45 from Bhagalpur, 44 from Supaul, 43 from Saharsa, 42 from Madhepura, 42 from West Champaran, 40 from Lakhisarai, also tested COVID-19 positive on September 11, 2020.
Of the 1,56,866 COVID-19 cases reported so far in Bihar, a total of 1,41,158 patients have been declared cured including 1,700 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 89.99%. The number of active cases in the state was 14,899 on September 12, 2020. The state has so far tested 47,73,917 COVID samples including 1,05,930 samples on September 11, 2020.
The COVID-19 death toll jumped to 808 in Bihar on September 12, 2020, with 11 new deaths being reported from different places including three from Madhubani, two from Araria, and one each from Saharsa, Supaul, Katihar, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, and Muzaffarpur.
