Patna : The COVID-19 cases has surged to 1,30,848 in Bihar as 1,998 more persons including 296 from Patna, 121 from Bhagalpur, 94 persons from East Champaran, 88 from Kishanganj, 87 from Purnia, 86 from Muzaffarpur, 84 from Katihara, 83 from Araria, 83 from Saran, 79 from Begusarai, 70 from Munger, 69 from Madhubani, 68 from Saharsa, and 59 from Gopalganj, tested positive to it on August 27, 2020.
Of the 1,30,848 COVID cases in Bihar, a total of 1,12,445 patients have been declared cured/discharged including 2,749 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 85.94%. So far 28,82,926 COVID samples have been tested in Bihar including 1,05,766 on August 27, 2020. The number of active cases in Bihar was 17,728 on August 28, 2020.
COVID-19 death toll jumped to 674 in Bihar with 12 new deaths being reported from different places in the state during last 24 hours including five from Patna, four from Darbhanga, two from Madhubani, and one from Samastipur. The toll has jumped to 154 in Patna.
