Patna : The COVID-19 cases rose to 1,23,383 in Bihar on August 24, 2020, with 1,227 more persons including 225 from Patna, 75 from Muzaffarpur, 68 from East Champaran, 65 from Saharsa, 54 from Gaya, 51 from West Champaran, and 49 from Bhojpur, testing positive to it on August 23, 2020.
Of the 1,23,383 cases in Bihar, 1,01,362 patients have been declared cured including 2,908 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 82.15%.
The COVID death toll, on the other hand, jumped to 627 with 17 new deaths being reported from different parts of the state during last 24 hours including 8 from Patna, two from Siwan, and one each from Rohtas, Nalanda, Katihar, Bhojpur, Madhepura, Nawada, and Aurangabad. The toll climbed to 124 in Patna on August 24, 2020.
