Patna : With 1,277 more persons including 308 from Patna , 69 from Muzaffarpur, 65 from East Champaran, and 60 from Nalanda, testing positive on October 20, 2020, the number of COVID-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar surged to 2,08,238 on October 21, 2020, afternoon.
According to State Health Department figure, 53 persons from Purnia, 46 from Gaya, 41 each from Saharsa and Madhepura, 39 from Supaul, 38 each from Araria and Kishanganj, 35 from Bhagalpur, 34 from Bhojpur, 29 each from Munger and from Saran, 27 from Sheikhpura, 25 each from Aurangabad and Katihar, and 20 from Madhubani, also tested positive to COVID-19 on October 20, 2020.
Of the 2,08,238 COVID cases reported till date in Bihar, altogether 1,96,208 patients have been declared cured including 1,319 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 94.22%. The state has tested 95,31,168 samples so far including 1,41,222 samples on October 20, 2020. The number of active cases in Bihar was 11,010 on October 21, 2020.
The COVID-19 toll jumped to 1,019 in Bihar on October 21, 2020, with 8 new deaths being reported in the state during last 24 hours including 5 from Patna, and one each from Bhojpur, Supaul, and Purnia. The toll jumped to 252 in Patna on October 21, 2020.
