Patna : The COVID-19 cases jumped to 2,03,060 in Bihar on October 17, 2020, as 1,173 more persons including 250 from Patna, 131 from Purnia, 59 from Araria, 58 from Muzaffarpur, 43 from Madhepura, 36 from Saharsa, 35 from Gaya, 35 from West Champaran, and 34 from East Champaran tested positive to it on October 16, 2020.
According to State Health Department figure, 29 persons from Gopalganj, 28 from Nalanda, 27 each from Bhagalpur and Bhojpur, 26 from Munger and Siwan, 25 each from Kishanganj, Nawada, and Lakhisarai, 23 each from Jehanabad and Madhubani, 22 from Katihar, also tested positive to COVID-19 on October 16, 2020.
Of the 2,03,060 COVID-19 cases reported in Bihar till date, altogether 1,91,515 patients have been declared cured including 1,259 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 94.31%. The state has tested 90,15,471 samples till date including 1,20,713 samples on October 16, 2020. The number of active cases was 10,554 in Bihar on October 17, 2020.
The COVID-19 jumped to 990 in Bihar on October 17, 2020, with 9 new deaths being reported during last 24 hours including 2 from Darbhanga, and one each from Patna, Nalanda, Madhubani, Siwan, Samastipur, Jehanabad, and Banka. The toll increased to 243 in patna on October 17, 2020.
