Patna : COVID-19 cases climbed to 1,97,000 in Bihar on October 12, 2020, afternoon, as 732 more persons including 217 from Patna, 45 from Bhagalpur, 37 from Purnia, 37 from Madhepura, 31 from Supaul, 27 esch from Saharsa and Lakhisarai, 25 from Muzaffarpur, 21 from Nalanda, 20 from Buxar, and 19 from Gopalganj tested positive to it on October 11, 2020.

Of the 1,97,000 COVID-19 cases reported in Bihar till date, altogether 1,85,593 patients have been declared cured including 1,69 during last 24 hours with the recovery rated being 94.21%. Bihar has tested 84,78,692 samples so far including 75,503 samples on October 11, 2020. The number of active cases in the state was 10,451 on October 12, 2020.

COVID-19 toll jumped to 955 in Bihar on October 12, 2020, with 9 new deaths being reported in the state during last 24 hours including 2 from Supaul, 2 from Darbhanga, and 1 each from Patna, Bhagalpur, Begusarai, Muzaffarpur, and Madhubani.
