patna : The COVID-19 cases rose to 1,91,427 in Bihar on October 7, 2020, afternoon, with 1,304 more persons including 263 from Patna, 60 from Madhepura, 58 from Purnia, 57 from Muzaffarpur, 51 from Katihar, and 48 from East Champaran testing positive to it on October 6, 2020.

According to State Health Department figure, 47 persons from Gopalganj, 41 from Saharsa, 37 from Gaya, 36 from Rohtas, 35 each from Araria, Madhubani, and from Supaul, 34 from Begusarai, 32 from Bhagalpur, 32 from Nawada, 31 from West Champaran, 30 each from Nalanda and Banka, 28 each from Siwan and Jamui, 26 from Lakhisarai, 25 from Khagaria, 23 from Saran, and 21 from Vaishali, also tested positive to COVID-19 on October 6, 2020. The number of active cases was 11,148 in Bihar on October 7, 2020.

Of the 1,91,427 COVID-19 cases reported in Bihar till date, a total of 1,79,351 patients have been declared cured including 1,422 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 93.69%. The state has tested 79,95,594 samples so far including 1,01,855 samples on October 6, 2020.

The COVID-19 toll increased to 927 in Bihar with 2 new deaths reported in the state during last 24 hours including one each from Patna and Vaishali. The toll increased to 223 in Patna on October 7.
