New Delhi : It has been decided to constitute a COVID-19 Fact Check Unit (FCU) at the Press Information Bureau (PIB) under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. It bacame operational from April 2, 2020. It will receive messages by email at pibfactcheck@gmail.com to send response in a defined time-frame. The official version of any news on COVID-19 can be obtained from the Unit. The unit is headed by Nitin Wakankar, DG, PIB, according to a PIB release.
