New Delhi : Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) death toll jumped to 11,591 in Italy on March 31, 2020, registering 810 new deaths since the last update on March 30, 2020, according to WHO Situation Report -71. The number of Coronavirus confirmed cases surged to 1,01,739 in Italy including 4,050 new confirmed cases. The death toll in Spain, which has registered 85,195 confirmed cases including 6,398 new cases, has jumped to 7,340 including 812 new deaths since March 30, 2020, update.

The COVID-19 death toll Germany, which has recorded 61,973 confirmed cases including 4,615 new cases, has reached 583 including 128 new deaths. The death toll in France, which has recored 43,977 confirmed cases including 4,335 new cases, has climbed to 3,017 including 415 new deaths. Coronavirus death toll in UK is 1,408 including 180 new deaths. UK accounts for 22,145 confirmed cases. The death toll in Switzerland, which accounts for 15,412 confirmed cases, is 295 including 38 new deaths.

Belgium has recorded 11,899 confirmed cases including 1,063 new cases and theĀ  death toll is 513 including 82 new deaths. The death toll in Netherlands, which has recorded 11,750 confirmed cases including 884 new cases, has climbed to 864 including 93 new deaths, according to WHO Situation Report-71.

In USA, the number of Coronavirus confirmed cases has shot up to 1,40,640 including 17,987 new conformed cases. The COVID-19 death toll in USA is 2,398 including 286 new deaths since the last update. The death toll in Brazil, which accounts for 4,256 confirmed cases, is 136 including 22 new deaths. The number of confirmed cases has increased to 6,317 in Canada including 662 new cases and the death toll is 66 including 5 new deaths.

In China, the death toll is 3,314 including only 4 new deaths. China has recorded 82,245 confirmed cases including 98 new confirmed cases. The death toll in Republic of Korea, which accounts for 9,786 confirmed cases, is 162 including only 4 new deaths. The COVID-19 death toll in Japan, which accounts for 1,953 confirmed cases, is 56 including only 2 new deaths.

In Iran, which has recorded 41,495 confirmed cases including 3,146 new cases, the death toll has reached 2,757 including 117 new deaths. The Coronavirus death toll in Pakistan is 25 including 7 new deaths. Pakistan accounts for 1,865 confirmed cases including 240 new cases.

Worldwide, the number of Coronavirus confirmed cases has surged to to 7,50,890 including 57,610 new cases while the death toll has surged to 36,405 including 3,301 new deaths. The WHO Operations Supports and Logistics (OSL) continues to support COVID-19 emergency operations despite continued disruption to critical supply markets where demand outpaces global supply, according to WHO Report. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, OSL has shipped over 8 lakh surgical masks, 54,000 N95 masks, 8.73 lakh gloves, 15,000 goggles, and 24,000 face shields to 75 countries. OSL has also shipped COVID-19 testing kits to 126 countries.

The DG, WHO, on March 31, 2020, stressed on ensuring free movement of essential health products for saving lives and curbing social and economic impacts of the pandemic .
