Ranchi ( Jharkhand) : With 20 more persons detecting positive to Coronavirus (COVID-19) in different districts of the state, the total number of confirmed cases climbed to 103 in Jharkhand which includes an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Hindpiri, Ranchi, and an ambulance driver. Health Secretary , Jharkhand, Nitin Kulkarni, on April 27, 2020, evening, confirmed the detection of new cases in the state.

Seeing  new cases still pouring in from the hotbed of Ranchi,  Hindpiri, from where more than dozen positive cases were reported earlier, Jharkhand CM  Hemant Soren on April 27 evening ordered to hand over the entire Hindpiri area to CRPF for surveillance and strict vigilance stopping  movement of all persons in the area except medical and emergency.

Altogether 11 of the 24 districts of Jharkhand including Ranchi, Bokaro, Hazaribagh, Dhanbad, Koderma, Giridih, Simdega, Garhwa, Palamu, Deoghar, and  Jamtara have reported Covid–19 positive cases.
