Patna : The number of COVID-19 cases rose to 1,23,383 in Bihar on August 25, 2020, with 1,444 more persons including 262 from Patna, 85 from Kishanganj, 80 from Muzaffarpur, 76 from Araria, 71 from West Champaran, 64 from Madhubani, 54 from Bhagalpur, 47 from Gaya, 46 from Begusarai, 44 from Saharsa, and 44 from Saran, testing positive to it on August 24, 2020.

Of the 1,23,383 COVID-19 cases reported till date in Bihar, 1,04,531 patients have been declared cured/discharged including 3,169 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 83.74%. The number of active cases in Bihar stands at 19,651. A total of 25,70,097 COVID samples have been tested in the state till date.

The COVID-19 death toll, on the other hand, jumped to 644 in Bihar with 17 new deaths being reported from different parts of the state during last 24 hours including 11 from Patna, two from Nalanda, two from Rohtas, and two from Bhojpur. The toll has climbed to 135 in Patna, 47 in Bhagalpur, 42 in Gaya, 31 in Rohtas, 28 each in Munger and Nalanda, 25 in Muzaffarpur, 24 in Bhojpur, 24 in Vaishali, 23 in East Champaran, 22 in Saran, and 21 in Samastipur.
