Patna : COVID-19 cases rose to 98,370 in Bihar on August 14, 2020, afternoon, with 3,911 more persons including 484 from Patna, 285 from Araria, 257 from Katihar, 199 from Sitamarhi, 175 from East Champaran, 148 from Madhubani, 146 from Begusarai, 133 from Muzaffarpur,133 from Purnia, 113 from Darbhanga, 132 from Gaya, 113 from Jehanabad, 107 from Nalanda, 106 from Saharsa, 106 from Saran, testing positive to it on August 13, 2020.

According to State Health Department sources, 99 persons from Aurangabad, 93 from West Champaran, 88 from Rohtas, 81 from Bhojpur, 70 from Khagaria, 68 from Gopalganj, 65 from Bhagalpur, 64 from Sheikhpura, 63 from Munger, 58 from Samastipur, and 55 from Vaishali also tested positive to COVID-19 on August 13, 2020. A total of 65,307 COVID patients have been declared cured in Bihar till date including 2,800 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 66.39%.

The COVID-19 death toll in Bihar jumped t0 500 on August 14, 2020, with 16 new deaths being reported from different parts of the state during past 24 hours including three from Patna, three from Vaishali, two from East Champaran, two from Muzaffarpur, and one each from Gaya, Kaimur, Darbhanga, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, and Buxar. The death toll in Patna increased to 94.
