Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases crossed fifty thousand mark in Bihar reaching 50,987 on July 31, 2020, afternoon, with 2,986 persons including 535 from Patna, 156 from Rohtas, 146 from Nalanda, 126 from Gaya, 125 from Muzaffarpur, 123 from Vaishali, 122 from Madhubani,  82 from Bhojpur, 80 each from Supaul and Buxar, and 71 from Begusarai testing positive to it.

A total of 33,650 patients have been declared cured till date in the state the recovery rate being 66%. A total of 1,977 patients were declared cured during last 24 hours.

The Coronavirus death toll rose to 298 in Bihar on July 31, 2020, including 41, in Patna, 28 in Bhagalpur, 21 in Gaya, 16 in Rohtas, 16 in Nalanda,  12 in Bhojpur, 12 in Munger, 12 in East Champaran, 11 in Muzaffarpur, 10 in Begusarai, 10 in West Champaran, 10 in Samastipur, 10 in Saran, and 7 each in Vaishali, Nawada, and Siwan. Thirteen doctors have died due to Coronavirus in Bihar till date.

Patna District in South Bihar has reported 8,764 positive cases till date followed by 2,551 in Bhagalpur, 2,083 in Gaya, and 2,144 in Nalanda.
