Ara : Three armed miscreants shot at and injured Santosh Kumar and his wife Suman Devi near Piro railway station under Piro police station in Bhojpur district on June 16, 2019, evening. The injured were admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital. The doctor referred Santosh Kumar to Patna Medical College and Hospital in view of his serious condition.
The injured couple are residents of village Udandi under Piro police station. Property dispute is said to be the reason behind the incident. An FIR has been lodged with Piro police station but no arrest has so far been made in this connection.
SHO, Piro police station, said that Santosh Kumar, son of late Ramnarayan Singh of village Udandi village is a petty contractor and had purchased two kattha of land near Piro railway station in 2014 and ever since he had dispute with Chandrika Rai of village Nonaur over the plot. On June 16, 2019, when Santosh Kumar along with his wife Suman Devi was going towards the disputed plot, three motorcycle borne miscreants intercepted them and shot at the couple injuring both of them and escaped. The locals rushed them to Ara Sadar Hospital.
