New Delhi: Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) death toll surged to 12,430 in Italy on April 1, 2020, with 839 new deaths recorded since last WHO update on March 31, 2020. According to WHO Situation Report-72, the number of Coronavirus confirmed cases has jumped to 1,05,792 in Italy including 4,053 new cases.  The COVID-19 death toll in Spain, which accounts for 94,417 confirmed cases including 9,222 new cases, has climbed to 8,189 including 849 new deaths.

The death toll in UK, which accounts for 25,154 confirmed cases including 3,009 new cases, has increased to 1,789 including 381 new deaths since the last update, according to WHO Situation Report -72. In France, which has reported 51,477 confirmed cases including 7,500 new cases, COVID-19 death toll has shot up to 3,514 including 497 new deaths.

In Germany, which has recorded 67,366 confirmed cases including 5,453 new cases, the death toll has jumped to 732 including 149 new deaths. In Belgium, which accounts for 12,775 confirmed cases including 876 new cases, the Coronavirus death toll has increased to 705 including 192 new deaths. In Netherlands, which accounts for 12,595 confirmed cases including 845 new cases, the death toll has increased to 1,039 including 175 new deaths.

In USA, the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases has jumped to 1,63,199 including 22,559 new cases. The Coronavirus death toll in USA is 2,850 including 452 new deaths. The death toll in Iran, which has recorded 44,606 confirmed cases including 3,111 new cases, the death toll has reached 2,898 including 141 new deaths. In Pakistan, which accounts for 2,039 COVID-19 confirmed cases, the death toll has reached 26 including 1 new deaths.

In China, which has reported 82,631 confirmed cases including 86 new cases, the Coronavirus death toll is 3,321 including 7 new deaths, according to WHO report. The Coronavirus death toll in Republic of Korea has increased to 165 including 3 new deaths.

Worldwide, the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases has jumped to 8,23,626 including 72,736 new cases while the death toll has surged to 40,598 including 4,193 new deaths.
