New Delhi : novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) death toll increased to 124 in India on April 7, 2020, evening, registering 7 new deaths since the last update the same day.
According to Health & Family Welfare Ministry, the number of patient cure/discharged after recovery has climbed to 352 in the country, an increase of 26 since the last update the same day. One patient has migrated. The number of Coronavirus confirmed cases is 4,421 in the country. Maharashtra has reported 748 COVID-19 confirmed cases followed by Tamilnadu with 621 cases and Delhi with 523 cases. Bihar has reported 32 confirmed cases.
Central Zoo Authority has advised Zoos in the country to remain on highest alert in view of a Tiger found COVID 19 positive in New York, watch animals on 24X7 basis using CCTV for any abnormal behavior/symptoms, keepers/handlers not to be allowed in the vicinity without safety gear preferably PPE, isolate & quarantine sick animals, and have least contact while providing feed to animals.
