New Delhi : Coronavirus (COVID-19) death toll jumped to 934 in India including 369 in Maharashtra, 162 in Gujarat, 110 in MP, and 54 in Delhi, at 8 am on April 28, 2020, with 48 new deaths being reported since the last update issued by Union H &FW Ministry on April 27, 2020, evening. The number of active cases stands at 21,632 in the country. Maharashtra has reported 8,590 COVID-19 confirmed cases so far followed by 3,548 cases in Gujarat and 3,108 cases in Delhi. India had reported 29,435 confirmed cases till April 28 morning.
In a significant development, the number of patient cured/discharged has also jumped to 6,868 in the country including 1,282 in Maharashtra, 1,101 in Tamilnadu, 877 in Delhi, 394 in Gujarat, 355 in Kerala, 335 in UP, and 302 in MP.
Bihar has reported 346 Coronavirus confirmed cases so far including 90 in Munger, 39 in Patna, 35 in Nalanda, 31 in Rohtas, 30 in Siwan, 25 in Buxar, 14 in Kaimur, 12 in Gopalganj, 9 each in Begusarai and Bhojpur, 7 in Aurangabad, 6 in Gaya, 5 each in Madhubani, East Champaran, and Bhagalpur, 4 each in Lakhisarai, Arwal, Nawada, and Saran, 2 each in Banka, Vaishali, and 1 each in Madhepura, Jehanabad, Purnia, and Darbhanga. Bihar had reported 56 new confirmed cases on April 27, 2020.
Two persons had earlier died to the disease – one each in Munger and Vaishali- in Bihar. COVID-19 has spread over to 25 districts of Bihar.
