Coronavirus death toll climbs to 29 in India, number of confirmed cases 1,071

New Delhi : The novel  Coronavirus (COVID-19) death toll reached 29 in India at 10.30 am on March 30, 2020, with Maharashtra reporting 8 deaths while Gujarat  and Karnataka have reported 5 and 3 deaths respectively. Delhi, J&K, and Madhya Pradesh (MP)  have reported 2 deaths each while Bihar, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh (HP), Kerala, Punjab, Tamilnadu, and Telangana have reported one death each.

The number of Coronavirus confirmed cases has increased to 1,071 in India, an increase of 47 over the last update on March 29, 2020, evening. The figure includes 100 cured/discharged/ migrated cases, which has kept shooting up.

Kerala has reported 194 confirmed cases followed by Maharashtra with 193 cases. The figure stands at 80 in Karnataka, 75 in Uttar Pradesh (UP), 69 in Telangana, 58 in Gujarat, 57 in Rajasthan, 53 in Delhi, 50 in Tamilnadu, 38 in Punjab, 33 each in MP and Haryana, 31 in J&K, and 19 each in West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh, according to Union Health & Familfare Ministry.

Bihar has reported 11 confirmed cases so far while Andamans & Nicobar Islands has reported 9 active cases. The figure stands at 13 in Ladakh, 8 in Chandigarh, 7 in Chhattisgarh, 7 in Uttarakhand, 5 in Goa, and 3 each in Odisha and Himachal Pradesh. Manipur, Mizoram, and Puducherry have reported one confirmed case each.
