New Delhi : Coronavirus (COVID-19) death toll jumped to 2,649 in India at 8 am on May 15, 2020, with 100 new deaths being reported from different parts of the country during last 24 hours.
Maharashtra alone accounts for 1,019 COVID-19 deaths followed by Gujarat with 586 deaths. MP has recorded 237 Coronavirus deaths till date while West Bengal has reported 215 deaths due to Coronavirus. The Coronavirus death toll jumped to 125 in Rajasthan and 115 in Delhi while UP has reported 88 deaths and Tamilnadu 66.
Bihar has reported 999 Coronavirus confirmed cases till date while the death toll stands at 7. Jharkhand has so far reported 197 confirmed cases of Coronavirus while three persons have died due to it in the state.
On the positive side, the number of patients cured/discharged has increased to 27,919 from 26,234 on May 14, 2020. In Maharashtra, 6,059 patients have been cured/discharged followed by 3,753 in Gujarat.
