New Delhi : Coronavirus (COVID-19) death toll jumped to 2,206 in India at 8 am on May 11, 2020, with 97 new deaths being reported from different parts of the country since the last update issued by Union H & FW Ministry on May 10, 2020. On the positive side, the number of patients cured/discharged increased to 20,916 on May 11, an increase of 1,559 since May 10.

Coronavirus death toll break -up is : Maharashtra ( 832), Gujarat ( 493), Madhya Pradesh (215), West Bengal (185), Rajasthan ( 107),  Uttar Pradesh (74), Delhi (73), Tamilnadu (47), Andhra Pradesh ( 45), Punjab (31), Karnataka (31), Telangana (30),  Haryana (10), J&K (9), Bihar (6),  Kerala 94), Jharkhand (3), Odisha (3), Himachal Pradesh (2), Chandigarh (2), Assam (2), Uttarakhand (1), and Meghalaya (1).

Among the States /UTs, Maharashtra has alone reported 22,171 confirmed cases while Gujarat has reported 8, 194 COVID-19 confirmed cases. Delhi accounts for for 6,923 confirmed cases while MP has reported 3,614 confirmed cases. Karnataka has reported 848 Coronavirus confirmed cases while Haryana has reported 703 such cases. Bihar has reported 707 confirmed cases while Jharkhand has reported 157 such cases.

In Maharashtra, 4,199 patients have been cured/discharged while in Gujarat the figure stands at 2,545. In Delhi, 2,069 patients have been cured/discharged.
