New Delhi : Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) death toll soared t0 13,157 in Italy including 727 new deaths since the last update on April 1, 2020, according to WHO Siatuation Report -73. Italy has reported 1,10,574 Coronavirus confirmed cases including 4,782 new cases. The death toll in Spain, which has reported 1,02,136 confirmed cases including 7,719 new cases, is 9,053 including 864 new deaths.
The COVID-19 death tool in Germany, which has reported 73,522 confirmed cases including 6,156 new cases, is 872 including 140 new deaths. The death toll in France, which accounts for 56,261 confirmed cases including 4,784 new cases, is 4,019 including 505 new deaths. The death toll in UK, which accounts for 29,478 confirmed cases including 4,324 new cases, is 2,532 including 743 new deaths. The death toll in Switzerland, which has reported 17,070 confirmed cases including 962 new cases, is 378 including 5 new deaths, according to WHO Situation Report.
The number of Coronavirus confirmed cases has surged to 1,87,302 including 24,103 new cases in USA. The COVID-19 death toll in USA is 3,846 including 996 new deaths. The death toll in China, which has reported 82,724 confirmed cases including 93 new cases, is 3,327 including 6 new deaths. The death toll in Republic of Korea, which has reported 9,976 confirmed cases including 89 new cases, is 169 including 4 new deaths.
Worldwide, the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases has jumped to 8,96,450 including 72,839 new cases while the death toll is 45,525 including 4,923 new deaths.
Meanwhile, the WHO has released a Medical Product Alert that warns consumers, healthcare professionals, and health authorities against an increasing number of falsified medical products that claim to prevent, detect, treat or cure COVID-19.
