New Delhi : novel Coronavirus death toll increased to 109 in India at 9 am on April 6, 2020, with 26 new deaths recorded since the last update on April 5, 2020, evening. The number of Coronavirus confirmed cases has jumped to 3,666 in the country with 292 new cases being reported since the last update, according Union Health & Family Welfare Ministry. On the positive side, the number of cured/discharged patients too has increased to 291 in the country.
Maharashtra had reported 24 Coronavirus deaths till April 5 evening followed by Gujarat with 11 deaths. Madhya Pradesh had reported 9 deaths while Delhi and Telangana had reported 7 deaths each and Punjab 5. Karnataka had reported 4 deaths while West Bengal and Tamilnadu had reported 3 deaths each. UP, Kerala, and J&K had reported 2 deaths each till April 5. Delhi had reported 503 confirmed cases followed by Maharashtra with 490 confirmed cases. Tamilnadu had reported 485 positive cases while Kerala had reported 306 positive cases. Bihar had reported 30 positive cases till April 5.
