Patna : With one death each being reported from Gujarat, Tamilnadu, and Madhya Pradesh, since the last update on March 25, 2020, evening, the novel Coronavirus ( COVID-19) death toll increased to 13 in India at 10.15 am on March 26, 2020. The total of number of COVID-19 confirmed cases has jumped to 649 in the country, an increase of 43 since the last update. The figure includes 47 foreigners, 43 cured/discharged/ migrated cases and 13 deaths.

Among the States and UTs, Maharashtra tops the list with 124 active cases including 3 foreigners followed by Kerala with 118 cases including 8 foreign nationals. Karnataka has reported 41 active cases while Rajasthan has reported 38 such cases. In Gujarat, the figure stands at 38 cases while in Delhi it is 35. Telangana accounts for 41 active cases including 10 foreigners while in Punjab the figure stands at 33. Tamilnadu has reported 26 active cases while in UP in the figure stands at 37. Haryana accounts for 30 active cases including 14 foreign nationals.

In Madhya Pradesh, the figure stands at 15 while in West Bengal it is 9. UTs Ladakh and J&K have reported 13 and 11 active cases respectively while in Uttarakhand the figure stands at 4  Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, and Bihar account for 3 cases each. Odisha has reported 2 cases so far while the figure stands at 1 each in Manipur, Mizoram, and Puduchery.

The death toll includes 3 in Maharashtra, 2 in Gujarat, and one each in Bihar, Punjab, Karnataka, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Tamilnadu, West Bengal, and Himachal Pradesh, according to Union Health & Family Welfare Ministry.
