Patna : The number of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed cases surged to 433 in India at 6 pm on March 23, 2020. The figure includes 40 foreigners, 24 cured/ discharged/ migrated patients, and 7 deaths. The number of active cases in India was 390 at 10.30 am on March 23. The figure has increased by 43 since 10.30 am on the day. Maharashtra has recorded 2 deaths while Bihar, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Punjab have recorded one death each,
Maharashtra has 74 active cases including 3 foreigners while Kerala has 67 cases including 7 foreigners. Karnataka has 33 cases while Gujarat has 29 cases. Telangana has reported 32 confirmed cases so far including 10 foreigners while Punjab has reported 21 cases. Delhi has reported 29 cases so far including one foreigner while Rajasthan has reported 28 cases.
Uttar Pradesh has recorded 31 COVID confirmed cases so far while West Bengal has reported 7 active cases. Andhra Pradesh has reported 7 cases. Haryana has reported 26 cases so far including 14 foreigners while madhya Pradesh has 6 cases, according to union Health & Family Welfare Ministry. In Bihar, the number of active cases remains pegged at 2 of which one hailing from Munger district died. UT Ladakh has reported 13 cases so far while J&K has reported 4 cases.
