New Delhi : The number of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed cases jumped to 873 in India at 9.30 am on March 28, 2020, an increase of 149 since March 27, 2020. This figure includes 47 foreign nationals, 79 cured/discharged/migrated cases, and 19 deaths. Maharashtra accounts for 5 deaths while Gujarat has reported 3 deaths. Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh (MP) have reported 2 deaths each. Bihar, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh (HP), J&K, Punjab, Tamilnadu, and West Bengal have reported one death each. The silver lining is the number of cured/discharged/ migrated cases have increased considerably during last 24 hours.

Among the States and UTs, Maharashtra tops the lists with 180 confirmed cases including 3 foreigners followed by Kerala with 173 cases including 8 foreign nationals. The figure stands at 55 in Karnataka and 45 in Gujarat. Rajasthan has reported 48 cases including 2 foreigners while Telangana accounts for 48 cases including 10 foreigners. The figure stands at 45 in UttarPradesh (UP) and 38 in Tamilnadu. Punjab also accounts for 38 cases while the figure stands at 39 in Delhi.

The figure stands at 18 in J&K and 13 in Ladakh. Madhya Pradesh accounts for 30 active cases while West  Bengal has reported 15 such cases so far. Goa and HP have reported 3 active cases each while Andhra Pradesh accounts for 14 cases. The figure stands at 33 in Haryana including 14 foreigners.

Bihar has reported 9 Coronavirus confirmed cases while Chandigarh has reported 7 such cases. Chhattisgarh has reported 6 active cases while Andamans & Nicobar Islands has reported 2 cases. Odisha has reported 3 active cases while Manipur, MIzoram, and Puduchery have reported one cases each, according to Union Health & Family Welfare MInistry.
