Patna : The number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed cases increased to 528 in Bihar on May 4, 2020, with 11 persons testing positive to the disease including five at Jhanjharpur in Madhubani District, two in Begusarai, one each in West Champaran and Samastipur, all in North Bihar, and two in Chainpur, Kaimur District. Coronavirus confirmed cases surged to 42,836 in India on May 4.
A 14 year old boy and a 52 year man of Chainpur in Kaimur District tested positive to COVID-19 on May 4.The health authorities are looking into their infection trail. A 25 year old man of Vidyapatinagar in Samastipur District also tested COVID-19 positive on the day. In Begusarai District, a 20 year old youth of Bhagwanpur and a 30 year old man of Bachhwara tested positive to the disease.
Early in the day, five persons from Jhanjharpur including three women tested positive to Coronavirus. Awoman from Sanichari under Yogapati block in West Champaran District also tested COVID-19 positive.
Meanwhile, the construction of a 60 bed Encephalitis Ward at Sri Krishna Medical College and Hosputal (SKMCH), Muzaffarpur, has been completed at a cost of Rs 2.96 crore, according to Principal Secretary, Health Department, Bihar Government, Sanjay Kumar.
