Patna : The number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed cases has been increasing at an alarming rate in Bihar reaching 707 on May 10, 2020, late night, with 11 more persons testing positive to the disease in the state. Six persons have died due to Coronavirus in Bihar so far.
Of the 11 persons testing COVID-19 positive, 5 belong to Chautham in Khagaria District, four to Begusarai District, and two to Banka District. The patients are in 17-52 year age group and the local authorities are looking into their infection trail. The report of the sample test of these patients were received May 10, 2020, late night, according to Principal Secretary, Health Department, Bihar Government, Sanjay Kumar.
The RMRIMS, Patna, had tested 744 samples on May 10, 2020, of which 48 tested positive. IGIMS, Patna, tested 70 samples on May 10 of which 1 tested Coronavirus positive. Darbhanga Medical College & Hospital (DMCH), Darbhanga, tested 364 samples on May 10 of which 9 tested positive. Sri Krishna Medical College & Hospital (SKMCH), Muzaffarpur, tested 307 samples of which 7 tested positive. PMCH tested 198 samples of which 3 tested positive. JLNMCH, Bhagalpur, tested 70 samples of which 9 tested COVID-19 positive.
