New Delhi : The Coronavirus (COVID-19) death toll in India climbed to 27 at 7.30 pm March 29, 2020, an increase of two since the last update at 10 am the same day. The number of COVID-19 confirmed cases increased to 1,024 in the country, registering an increase of 45 since the last update 9 hr 30 minutes back on March 29. The figure includes 96 cured/discharges/migrated cases and 27 deaths including 6 in Maharashtra, 5 in Gujarat, 3 in Karnataka, and 2 each in Madhya Pradesh, J&K, and Delhi. The number of cured/discharged/ migrated cases are fast increasing.

Maharashtra accounts for 186 confirmed cases followed by Kerala with 182 such cases. The figure stands at 76 in Karnataka, 66 in Telangana, 65 in Uttar Pradesh, 58 in Gujarat, 55 in Rajasthan, 49 each in Delhi and Tamilnadu, 38 in Punjab, 33 in Haryana, 31 in J&K, 30 in Madhya Pradesh, 19 in Andhra Pradesh, 18 in West Bengal, and 13 in Ladakh, according to Union Health & Family Welfare Ministry. In Bihar, the figure stands at 11 while Andamans & Nicobar Islands accounts for 9 cases. Chandigarh has reported 8 active cases and Chhattisgarh 7.

Uttarakhand has reported 7 active cases while Goa has reported 5 active cases. Himachal Pradesh and Odisha have reported 3 active cases each while Manipur, Mizoram, and Puducherry have reported one active cases each.
