Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases rose to 7,974 in Bihar with 81 more persons including 30 from Samastipur District, nine from Banka, five from Patna, five from Aurangabad, five from Vaishali, four from Madhubani, four from Siwan, testing positive to it. The new cases are in 4-68 year age group and authorities concerned are ascertaining their infection trail. Coronavirus death toll stands at 55 inĀ  Bihar including five in Darbhanga and four each in Saran and Begusarai,

In Samastipur District in North Bihar, 14 cases were reported from Dalsingsarai, seven from Bibhutipur, five from Vidyapatinagar, and four from Shivajinagar. In Madhubani District in North Bihar, four cases were reported from jhanjharpur. In Lakhisarai District, four cases were reported from Channan. In Madhepura District in North Bihar, one case each was reported from Madhepura and Chausa.

In Patna District, two cases were reported from Naubatpur, two from Bikram, and one from Patna. In Aurangabad District, three cases were reported from Ajmernagar, and one each from Madanpur and Kutumba. In Jehanabad District, one case was reported from Makhdumpur. In Bhojpur, one case was reported from Ara. In Jamui District, one case each was reported from Chakai and Sikandra.

In Banka District in eastern Bihar, five cases were reported from Banka, and one each from Jagai, Barahat, Karharia, and Dhauriya. In neighbouring Bhagalpur District, three cases were reported from Sultanganj. In Siwan District in North Bihar, three cases were reported from Siswan and one from Hasanpura. In Saran, one case was reported from Chhapra.

In Supaul District in North Bihar, two cases were reported from Marauna, and one each from Triveniganj and Kishanpur. In Vaishali District in North Bihar, three cases were reported from Mahnar and one each from Bhagwanpur and Hajipur.
