Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases rose to 8,979 in Bihar on June 27, 2020, late night, with 121 more persons including 13 from Madhubani District,  11 from Kimur, 14 from Bhojpur, 10 from Bhagalpur,  eight from Muzaffarpur, seven from Patna, four from Madhepura, and four from Begusarai testing positive to it. COVID-19 death toll in Bihar has climbed to 58 including five each in Patna, Darbhanga, and Saran, and four in Begusarai.

The new patients are in 5-65 year age group and authorities concerned are looking into their infection trail. In all, 301 persons had tested positive to COVID-19 till 11.30 pm on June 27. On the positive side, the recovery rate of COVID-19 patients in Bihar is 78%.

In Madhubani District in North Bihar, three cases each were reported from Pandaul and Rahika, two each from Bisfi  and Andhratharhi, one each from Rajnagar, Madhepur, and Benipatti. In Muzaffarpur District, six cases were reported from Kanti, and one each from Marwan and Sakra. In East Champaran District, two cases were reported from Motihari. Three cases were reported from West Champara District including two from Bettiah and one from Lauria. In Gopalganj District, one case each was reported from Hathwa, Gopalganj, Manjha, Kuchaikot,

In Bhojpur District, three cases were reported from Ara, one each from Sahar, Bihia, and Barhara, and Charpokhri, five from Tarari, two from Shahpur. In Jehanabad District, three cases were reported from Kako. In Nawada District, six cases were reported from Nawada town.

In Patna District, three cases were reported from Patna town and one each from BMP, Patna City, Dhanarua, Danapur. In Katihar District, four cases were reported from Barsoi. In Vaishali District, two cases were reported from Raja Pakar and one each from Mahnar and Raghopur.

In Bhagalpur, four cases were reported from Pirpainti, four from Kharik, and two grom Jagdishpur. In Kaimur district, 10 cases were reported from Bhabhua and one from Mohania.
