Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed cases surged to 3,807 in Bihar on May 31, 2020, night, with 131 more persons including 17 from Madhepura, 13 from Supaul, seven from Patna testing positive to it. The new patients are in 1-60 year age group and the local authorities are looking into their infection trail. In all, 242 Coronavirus confirmed cases were reported in Bihar till 10.40 pm on May 31, 2020.

Coronavirus death toll has also climbed to 23 in Bihar with two new deaths – one each in Begusarai and Bhagalpur, being reported since May 30, 2020. Khagaria has reported three deaths while Patna, Begusarai, Bhojpur, Siwan, and Vaishali districts have reported two deaths each. Munger, Madhepura, Bhagalpur, Nalanda, Jehanabad, East Champaran, Rohtas, Samastipur, Saran, and Sitamarhi have reported one death each.

In Supaul, six cases were reported from Marauna and four from Pratapganj. In Patna district, three cases were reported from Patna and one each from Bikram and Sampatchak. In Jehanabad, five cases were reported from Modanganj.
