Patna : With 60 more persons including 15 from Khagaria, 12 from Bhagalpur, 11 from Banka, and six each from Madhubani and Darbhanga districts testing positive on May 20, 2020, morning, the number of novel Coronavirus confirmed cases jumped to 1,579 in Bihar. Three cases were reported Bind in Nalanda District, two from Supaul, and one from Katihar District. Nine persons have died due to Coronavirus in Bihar till date.
In Khagaria District in North Bihar, five cases were reported from Sherbasa, six from Pasraha, and one each from Khagaria Town, Labhgaon, Gogri, and Eknia Diara taking the total to 85 in the district. The patients are in 3-55 year age group.
In Bhagalpur District in eastern Bihar, four cases were reported from Madarganj, four from Bhawanipur, two from Jagdishpur, and one each from Maheshkhor and Kahalgaon taking the total to 71 in the district. In Banka, another eastern Bihar District, eight cases were reported from Dhoraiya, two from Katoria, and one from Belhar taking the total to 62 in the district.
In Madhubani District in North Bihar, all the six cases were reported from Madhubani Town taking the total to 85 in the district. The patients are in 18-31 year age group. In Darbhanga District, also in North Bihar, three cases were reported from Sadar area and one each from Alinagar, Kusheswarsthan, and Benipur taking the total to 28 in the district.
