Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases rose to 6,810 in Bihar on June 16, 2020, late night, with 74 more persons including 13 from Madhubani District in North Bihar, 8 from West Champaran, seven from Siwan, four from Begusarai, three from Darbhanga, two from Patna,  testing positive to it.

Six from Gopalganj, four each Gaya, Katihar, and East Champaran, two from Araria, and three from Supaul district were also reported on the day. The new patients are in 1-62 year age group and local authorities are ascertaining their infection trail. In all, 148 persons tested positive to Coronavirus in Bihar on June 16, 2020. Altogether 4,571 patients have been cured in Bihar so far.

In Madhubani District, four cases were reported from Khutauna, three from Kaluahi, and two each from Laukahi and Madhawapur, and one each from Rahika and Bisfi. In Siwan District, five cases were reported from Lakarinabiganj, and one each from Darauli and Goreakothi. In Supaul District, three cases were reported from Marauna. In Munger District, four cases were reported from Asarganj. In Purnia District, two cases were reported from Tekapatti.

In Katihar District, three cases were reported from Katihar urban and one from Kohra. In Gopalganj District, four cases were reported from Baikunthpur and one each from Didhwalia and Hathua. In Gaya District, two cases were reported from Konch and one each from Gaya and Wazirganj.

In Darbhanga District, one case each was reported from Darbhanga urban, Alinagar, and Bahadurpur. In Patna District, one case each was reported from Ramkrishnanagar and Patna City. In Araria District, two cases were reported from Jokihat. In Begusarai District, four cases were reported from Matihani.

In West Champaran District in North Bihar, eight cases were reported from Narkatiaganj. In neighbouring East Champaran District, two cases each were reported from Harsiddhi and Motihari.
