Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases rose to 6,662 in Bihar on June 15, 2020, night, with 81 more persons including 16 from Siwan District, 14 from Purnia, eight from Darbhanga, five from Sheikhpura, testing positive to it. The new patients are in 11-73 year age group and authorities are looking into their infection trail. In all, 187 persons tested positive to Coronavirus on June 15 in the state. In Patna District, one case was reported from Naubatpur.

COVID-19 death toll stands at 39 in Bihar. Three deaths each have been reported from Begusarai, Khagaria, and Vaishali districts so far while two deaths each have been reported from Darbhanga, Bhojpur, Patna, Jehanabad, Muzaffarpur, Saran, Sitamarhi, and Siwan.  So far, 4,226 patients have been cured in Bihar.

In Siwan District in North Bihar, nine cases were reported from Bhagwanpur Hat, five cases from Jiradei, and two from Guthani. in neighbouring Saran District, one case each was reported from Garkha, Dighwara, and Policeline. In Aurangabad, two cases were reported from Policeline. In Sheikhpura District, two cases were reported from Sheikhopur Sarai, one from Sheikhpura, and two from Ramraipur.

In Purnia District, six cases were reported from Purnia East,  seven from Kasba, and one from Bhawanipur. In Darbhanga District, three cases were reported from Kusheshwarsthan, two from Darbhanga uran, and one each from Alinagar, Benipur, and  Bahera. In Katihar District in eastern Bihar, three cases were reported from Kursela and one from Kohra.

In Begusarai District, four cases were reported from Matihani, one each from Karichak and Bachhwara. In Muzafarpur District, one case each was reported from Marwan and Mushhari. In Saharsa, two cases were reported from Simri Bakhtiyarpur. In Munger, one case each was reported from Dharhara and Nawagadhi.

Patna District has reported 329 positive cases till date while Bhagalpur District has reported 327 cases. Madhubani District has reported 303 positive cases and Begusarai 301 cases.
