Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases rose to 5,247 in Bihar on June 8, 2020,night, with 72 more persons including 17 from Siwan, 9 from Muzaffarpur, eight from Patna, seven from Rohtas, five from Nawada, seven from Purnia, testing positive to it. The new patients are in 1-65 year age group and authorities are ascertaining their infection trail. In all, 177 persons tested positive to COVID-19 in BIhar on June 8. The COVID-19 death toll stands at 31 in Bihar.
In Siwan District, 10 cases were reported from Basantpur, six from Darauli, and one from Panchrukhi. In Nawada District, five cases were reported from Govindpur. In Patna, three cases were reported from Masaurhi, three cases were reported from Patna, and one each from Bahadurpur and Athmalgola. In Vaishali, three ases were reported from Bidupur and one from Vaishali. In Supaul, three cases were reported from Chhatapur.
In Purnia, three cases were reported from Srinagar, three from Jalalgarh, and one from Barhara Kothi. In Rohtas, four cases were reported from Karakat, two from Rajpur, and one from Dinara. In Muzaffarpur, five cases were reported from Sahaebganj, three from Bandra, and one from Bochahan. In Bhagalpur, two cases were reported from Sabour and one from Shahkund. In neighbouring Banka District, three cases were reported from Bounsi.
