Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed cases jumped to 3,185 in Bihar on May 28, 2020, night, with 95 more persons including 19 from Begusarai, 13 from Nalanda, 12 from Patna, 12 from Bhagalpur, 11 from East Champaran, and seven from Bhojpur testing positive to the disease. The new patients are in 2-65 year age group and the authorities concerned are looking into their infection trail.

In Begusarai District in North Bihar, 10 cases were reported from Sahebpur Kamal, three from Matihani, two each from Cheriya Bariarpur and Begusarai urban area, and one each from Bakhri, Garhpura. In Nalanda District, three cases were reported from Policeline, five from Chandi, and one each from Sohsarai, Islampur, Rajgir, and DRCC Office, and Parwalpur, according to Health Department, Bihar Government.

In Patna District, ten cases were reported from Dhanarua and two from Agamkuan. In Muzaffarpur, two cases were reported from Sakra and one from Mushahari. In neighbouring Vaishali District, three cases were reported from Vaishali and one from Chehrakala. In Purnia, three cases were reported from Rupauli and one from Baisa. In Bhagalpur, seven cases were reported from Kharik, three from Shahkund, and two from Sabour. In East Champaran, six cases were reported from Areraj, four Paharpur, and one from Tetaria.

In Bhojpur District, seven cases were reported from Ara,the district headquarters.  In Saran District in North Bihar, three cases were reported from Sonepur and one each from Parsa and Lahladpur. In Kaimur District, two cases were reported from Bhabhua. In Arwal, one case was reported from Karpi.

Globally, COVID-19 death toll surged to 1,00,442 in USA and 37,542 in UK on May 28, 2020. In Italy, the death toll has reached 33,072.
