Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases shot up to 2,643 in Bihar on May 25, 2020, noon, with 69 more persons including 13 from Darbhanga, 11 from Saharsa, nine from Begusarai, nine from Katihar, and six from Araria districts testing positive to the disease. The new patients are in 11-58 year age group and local authorities are looking into their infection trail.

Thirteen persons have died due to Coronavirus in Bihar till date including two each in Patna, Vaishali, and Khagaria, and one each in Rohtas, Begusarai, Munger, East Champaran, Siwan, Saran, and Sitamarhi. Patna district had reported 200 confirmed cases till 11 am on May 25, 2020, while Rohtas had reported 152 cases. Begusarai district has reported 150 cases and Munger 147. Madhubani district had reported 139 confirmed cases till 11 am on May 25 followed by Katihar with 133 cases.

In Darbhanga District in North Bihar, four cases were reported from Baghras, two each from Badiya, Kalyana and Simri, and one each from Narkatiya, Ranipur, and Rasiyari. In Araria District, two cases were reported from Bhargama, and one each from Jokihat, Sikti, and Raniganj. One case each was reported from Rohtas and Bhojpur districts.

In Saharsa District in North Bihar, seven cases were reported from Kahra and four Sonbarsa. One case was reported from Ghelarh in neighbouring Madhepura District. In Begusarai District, five cases were reported from Bhagwanpur, three cases from Bakhri, and one Bachwara. Three cases each were reported from Madhubani and Gopalganj districts.

In Katihar district, four cases were reported from Kursela, two from Pranpur, and one each from Kadwa and Katihar town. In Aurangabad, two cases were reported from Haspura.
