Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed cases rose to 2,166 on May 22, 2020, late night, with 61 more persons including 13 from Buxar, nine from Khagaria, seven from Gaya, six from East Champaran, and five from West Champaran testing positive to the disease on the day.

Five persons each from Sitamarhi and Bhagalpur, three each from Muzaffarpur, Begusarai, and Munger Districts also tested positive to Coronavirus on May 22 late night. One each from Kaimur and Arwal also tested positive on the day. On the positive side, 629 patients have been cured/discharged. The COVID-19 death toll stands at 11 in Bihar.

In Buxar District, ten confirmed cases were reported from Itarhi and one each from Dharampura, Harpur, and Narayanpur. In Bhagalpur, two cases were reported from Sultanganj and three from Naugachhia. In Gaya, four cases were reported from Tankuppa and one each from Wazirganj, Sherghati, and Fatehpur. In Arwal, one case was reported from Karpi. In Kaimur, one case was reported from Bhabhua.

In Begusarai, one case each was reported from Begusarai Sadar, Lakhanpur, and Matihani. In Munger, two cases were reported from Munger Sadar and one from Haveli Kharagpur. In Khagaria District, three cases were reported from Alauli and one each from Khagaria Sadar,Rasaunk, Bhelouri, Nayagaon, and Banehar.  In Muzaffarpur, one case each was reported from Kanti, Bochahan, and Mushari.

In East Champaran, all the six Coronavirus confirmed cases were reported from Motihari. In West Champaran, five cases were reported from Bettiah. In Sitamarhi, four cases were reported from Parihar and one from Bathnaha.
