Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases rose to 8,678 in Bihar on June 26, 2020, with 67 more persons including 22 from Madhubani District, 10 from Patna, six from Katihar, 8 from Muzaffarpur, six from Bhagalpur, five from Saharsa, and two from West Champaran testing positive to it. The new patients are in 1-72 year age group and authorities concerned are looking into their infection trail.In all, 190 persons had tested positive to COVID-19 till 11.30 pm on June 26, 2020.

In Patna District, eight cases were reported from Patna town and one each from Boring Road and Phulwarisharif. In Saharsa District in North Bihar, three cases were reported from Kahra and one each from Policeline and Simri Bakhtiyarpur. In neighbouring Supaul District, two cases were reported from Pratapganj. In West Champaran District, one case each was reported from Bagaha-1 and Bettiah.

In Mdhubani District, 20 cases were reported from Andhratharhi and two from Khutauna. In Muzaffarpur District in North Bihar, two cases were reported from Mushahari, three from Kanti, two from Motipur, and one from Sahebganj. Two cases were reported from Lakhisarai District.

In Bhagalpur District in eastern Bihar, six cases were reported from Jagdishpur. In Katihar District in eastrern Bihar, three cases were reported from Azamnagar, two from Hasanganj, and from Falka. In Araria District, one case each was reported from Narpatganj and Jokihat.

The COVID-19 death toll in Bihar stands at 57 including five each in Patna, Darbhanga, and Saran district.
