Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases crossed eight thousand mark in Bihar on June 23, 2020, night, reaching 8,050 with 76 more persons including 28 from Patna district, 14 from Nawada, five from Madhubani, 8 from Muzaffarpur, four from Sheohar, two from West Champaran, testing positive to it on the day. The new patients are in 7-60 year age group and authorities concerned are ascertaining their infection trail.

In all, 157 person had tested positive to Coronavirus in the state till 9.35 pm on the day. So far, 6,027 patients have been cured in the state. Coronavirus death toll has reached 55 in Bihar including five each in Darbhanga and Saran, four in Begusarai, and three in Patna district, Vaishali, Nalanda, and Khagaria.

In Patna District, nine cases were reported from Kamla Nehru Nagar, 13 from Masaurhi, two from Barh, three from Patna, one each from Kankarbagh, Muradpur, and Phulwarisharif. In Munger District, two cases were reported from Sangrampur. In Nalanda District, one case was reported from Katrisarai. In Jamui, one case was reported from Sikandra.

In Nawada District, five cases were reported from Kauakole, five cases from Kashichak, two vases from Narhat, and one each from Mescaur and Nardiganj. In Katihar District in eastern Bihar, two cases were reported from Barari and one from Sameli.

In Madhubani District, three cases were reported from Ladania and one each from Khutaiuna and Madhepur. In Muzaffarpur District, five cases were reported from Mushahari and one each from Marwan, Aurai, and Kurhani. In Sheohar District,four cases were reported from Dumari Katsarai. In Siwan District, one case was reported from Lakrinabiganj.

In West Champaran District, two cases were reported from Bagaha -1. In Samastipur, one case each was reported from Policeline and Samastipur Town.In Saharsa District, one case was reported from Kahra.
