Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed cases rose to 2,574 in Bihar at 10.20 pm on May 24, 2020, with 63 more persons including 11 from Nawada, 11 from East Champaran,  seven from Banka, six from Arwal, six from Saran, and four from Patna testing positive to the disease on the day. The patients are in 15-64 year age group and local authorities are looking into their infection trail. Altogether 180 persons tested positive to Coronavirus on May 24, 2020, in Bihar.

In East Champaran District, three cases  were reported from Dhaka, two each from Patahi, Paharpur and Mdhuban, and one each from Raxaul and Turkaulia. In Nawada, five cases were reported from Kauakol, four from Nawada town, and two Pakriwarama. In West Champaran, two cases were reported from Parasi and one from Chanpatia. In Muzaffarpur, one case each was reported from Saraiya and Minapur. In Supaul, two cases were reported from Marauna.

In Banka, one case each was reported from Belhar, Katoriya, Chanan, Shambhuganj, and Fullidumar while two cases were reported from Barahat. In Purnia, two cases were reported from Rupouli.

In Arwal, three cases were reported from Kaler, two from Kurtha, and from Arwal Urban. In Bhojpur, one case was reported from Ara while one case was reported from Makhdumpur in Jehanabad. In Patna, three cases were reported from Patna Urban and one from Sampatchak. In Saran, two cases were reported from Sonepur, and one each from Ekma, Isuapur, Parsa, and Revilganj. In Gaya, two cases were reported from Fatehpur and one from Bankebazar.

A total of 54,440 patients have been cured so far in India. In the last 24 hours, 2,657 patients were found cured. The recovery rate is 41.28%. Since May 23, 2020, an increase of 6,767 has been noted in the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in India. The total number of confirmed cases is now 1,31,868 in the country. The number of cases under active medical supervision is 73,560.
