Coric shocks Federer to win Halle Open title

Patna : World No 1 abd dfending champion Roger Federer, 36, Switzerland, suffered a shock defeat at Halle Open tennis, an tp 500 Grass Court event in Germany, to World No 34 Borna Coric, 21, Croatia, in the final on June 24, 2018. Coric stunned Federer 7-6, 3-6, 6-2, to win the Halle Open denying him his 10th title at the tournament. Federer’s defeat means he will lose his World No 1 position to Rafael Nadal, 31, Spain. Coric had defeated World No 3 Alexander Zverev, 21, Germany,  in the first round
