Contrator shot dead in W Champaran

Bettiah : Santosh  Kumar Dubey, 32, a contractor, was shot dead by two criminals on October 18, 2017, evening, on Hardia -Lauria road near Central School, Narakatiaganj, when he was standing at a betel shop.

Santosh, son of Bipin Chandra Dubey of village Serawa Dakahawa under  Shikarpur police station in West Champaran district, was at present living at village Hardia under the same police station and was a contractor executing railway projects at Narakatiaganj.

SDPO, Narakatiaganj, Aman Kumar, said that two criminals riding a motorbike suddenly came from Lauria side and shot at Santosh on his temple and escaped towards Ramnagar. He was rushed to Narakatiaganj hospital where doctor declared brought  him dead. Prima facie, the incident appears to be fallout of rivalry for railway contact, said local sources. SHO, Shikarpur police station, C P Gupta, said that police were conducting raids to locate the two criminals and their bike. They will arrested very soon, the SHO said.
