Saharsa : The conspiracy to kill Saharsa Dental Surgeon Kishore Kumar Bhaskar was allegedly hatched by his wife Neha Kumari and her lover Ashish Anand alias Bambam, a cousin of Dr Bhaskar, at village Kumhari under Kadwa police station in Katihar district.

Saharsa police cracked Dr Bhaskar murder case on March 24, 2019, by arresting both Neha and Bambam. Neha and Bambam were sent to jail. Dr Bhaskar was shot dead on March 19, 2019, at Saharsa in broad daylight.

Neha had gone to her parents’ place at village Kumhari after the death of her child on March 10, 2019. Bambam had also reached Kumhari on March 14, 2019, from Haryana after hearing about the death of Neha’s child. Bambam is a resident of village Reshna under Gwalpara police station in Madhepura district. Bambam took the help of his friend Amit Yadav of village Matha to eliminate Dr Bhaskar. They came to know that Dr Bhaskar would leave for his in-laws’ place Kumhari in Katihar district on March 19, 2019.

Bambam left his village Rshna for Saharsa with his friend on his bike at 8.50 am on March 19. They reached near Dr Bhaskar’s clinic at Saharsa at 12.45 pm and waited outside the clinic. Dr Bhaskar left his clinic for his Saharsa residence at 12.58 pm. Bambam and his friend followed him and were waiting outside his residence. Dr Bhaskar left his Saharsa residence for Kumhari at 2.17 pm. Bambam and his friend followed him on their bike.

As per their plan, Bambam got down from his bike at a place and when Dr Bhaskar reached there, Bambam asked for lift saying he had to go to Purnia. Bambam sat on the front seat. Bambam’s friend was waiting with the bike at Tirmuhani near Baijnathpatti. When Dr Bhaskar’s car reached Tirmuhani, Bambam requested him to give lift to his friend Amit as he too had to go to Purnia. Dr Bhaskar allowed Amit to get inside the car. Amit sat on the rear seat of the car, according to Saharsa SP Rakesh Kumar.

Bambam persuaded Dr Bhaskar to take another road saying the road was in bad shape. The car turned towards Saharsa. At a lonely place, Amit fired on Dr Bhaskar from the rear seat but probably the bullet did not hit the target after which Bambam took out his pistol and fired on the neck of Dr Bhaskar killing him inside the car. After that, Bambam and Amit came out of the car through the window as the car was locked. They reached the place where Amit had parked the bike and returned to village Reshna in Madheppura. They also carried Dr Bhaskar’s cellphone with them. Bambam also informed Neha that Dr Bhaskar had been killed.

According to Saharsa SP Rakesh Kumar, Bambam had stayed with Dr Bhaskar for eight years and he and Neha were in love. Dr Bhaskar got the wind of their relationship about two-and-a-half -year back and asked Bambam to leave his house immediately. Bambam went to Haryana to study. But, Neha and Bambam remained in touch on phone. The SP said that Dr Bhaskar married Neha in 2012.
