Hajipur (Vaishali) : Rakesh Yadav, a Congress leader belonging to village Meenapur in Vaishali District in North Bihar, was shot dead by two unidentified bike borne criminals near a Gym on Cinema Road, Hajipur, around 6.30 am on December 28, 2019.
The assailants fired four rounds at Rakesh Yadav when he reached near the Gym from his village Meenapur, three km away from , according to a police official. He was rushed to the hospital where the doctor declared him dead.
Angry over the incident, a mob damaged a vehicle of Town Police Station, Hajipur. Police are yet to ascertain the cause of murder. Police are checking the footage of CCTV cameras installed near the place of occurrence to identify the assailants.
