Close relatives set minor girl ablaze in property dispute at Bhojpur village

Ara : Close relatives of a minor girl sprinkled Kerosene Oil on her and set her ablaze at village Kalyanpur under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district on January 22, 2019, late evening, in a family dispute. The family members rushed the girl to Sadar Hospital, Ara, where she is struggling for life. An FIR has been lodged with Bihia police station but no arrest has so far been made in this connection.

SHO, Bihia police station, said that Munna Paneri of village Kalyanpur had a long standing property dispute with his brother and both had quarrelled several times over the issue. On January 22 late evening, Munna Paneri’s daughter Asha Kumari, 14, was all alone at her house when her uncle and aunt entered her room and sprinkled Kerosene Oil and later set her ablaze and escaped from the spot. Hearing her cry, the villagers and other family members reached the spot and rushed her to the Sadar Hospital where her condition is said to be critical.
