Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : Delhi Public School Bokaro primary wing on June 20, 2017, organized  an investiture  and hundred percent  attendance award ceremony at  Bharat Muni Kala Bhawan. The Chief Guest of the event  was  Nilima Rani Singh, DIG, Central  Industrial security Force (CISF), Bokaro Steel Plant Limited .

Addressing the gathering, CISF DIG Nilima praised the efforts of the school and said that DPS Bokaro is one of the most prestigious schools in India and  students from various states come to DPS Bokaro for better education and  for an  all-round development of their personality.  Narrating few anecdotes of her student life, she emphasized on the  ever lasting relationship between a student and a teacher which according to her  plays a vital role in shaping the student’s persona.

Hemlata S Mohan, Director& Principal of DPS Bokaro, congratulated the new council members and 100% attendance awardees and wished them the best. She said that the students today are going to become the citizens tomorrow and the school believes that  every student has the potential to emerge as a leader and serve  the  country. Altogether 415 students were awarded 100% attendance award during the programme while 54 students elected to the students council were given their respective badges.

Abhineet Sharan was given the badge for the post of Head Boy and Niharika Mania for Head Girl. Besides the duo , Aarav Yash was given the badge for the post of Vice Head Boy while Antara was  given the badge for the post of Vice Head Girl of the Primary Wing. Badges for different post were also given including Sweksha Sharma and Sadhvi Jha for Literary Secretary, Arunoday Singh and Anchita Hazarah for Sports Secretary and Aryan Singh and Noushin Naj for Cultural Secretary.

They were presented their respective badges by the Chief Guest Nilima Rani. The DIG congratulated the newly elected members for their new roles and bigger responsibilities ahead. Earlier, Headmistresses Pratima Sinha gave the welcome speech. Supervisor Pre-Primary Abha Sharma and Sunita Bhardwaj were also present on the occasion. along with other teachers and hundreds of  students on this occasion.
