Motihari : Kishor Kumar,  Circle Police Inspector, Sugauli Circle in East Champaran District in North Bihar, was suspended on April 24, 2020, while raids are on to arrest him after recovery of Rs 30,000 cash, which was paid to him by a persons as bribe for getting a favour in a case, was recovered from his official residence at Sugauli  during a raid conducted by  ASP Shaishaw Yadav  and SDPO, Motihari, Arun Kumar Gupta, on April 23, 2020, evening.

Kishor Kumar, the suspended Circle Inspector, is absconding. East Champaran SP Navin Chandra Jha had ordered to conduct raid  at his residence after receiving  complaint from a person alleging that Circle Inspector  Kishor Kumar had demanded Rs 30,000 from him to help him in supervision of a case. The complainant had also given the numbers of currency notes notes  meant for bribe to SP Jha. The  SP said  there several complaints had been received against Circle Inspector Kishor Kumar accusing the latter of demanding bribe in the name of supervision and despite his transfer to Chakiya Circle on April 22, 2020, he was at Sugauli.

According to police sources, when the police team reached the residence of Circle Inspector Kumar, he managed to escape from rear side of the house with  cash. Police have lodged a case  against Kumar in this connection. It may be recalled that Rohit Kumar was SHO of Sugauli police station but he was  not having good relation with  Circle Inspector Kishor Kumar, who had allegedly complained  against  SHO Kumar.

SP Jha had taken taken step  against SHO Rohit Kumar and  closed him to policeline and transferred  CI Kishor Kumar to Chakiya  on
April 22, 2020.
