Cilic, Querrey enter QF of Queen’s Club Championship

Patna : World No 6 in ATP rankings and top seed Marin Cilic, 29, Croatia, beat World No 46 Gilles Muller, 35, Luxembourg, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, in the Round of 16 on June 20, 2018, to enter the quarter-finals (QF) of Queen’s Club Championships, London.

Cilic hammered 19 Aces in the match while Muller served 17 Aces. Cilic won three break points compared to 1 by Muller. Cilic committed one double fault compared to 3 by Muller.

But, Stan Wawrinka, 33, Switzerland, currently ranked 261 in ATP rankings but winner of three Grand Slam titles, lost to World No 13 Sam Querrey, 30, USA, 5-7, 7-6, 1-6, in the Round of 16. Querrey hammered 25 Aces in the match compared to 8 by Wawrinka. Querrey won 4 break points compared to just 1 by Wawrinka.

World No 62 Francis Tiafoe, 20, USA, and World No 61 Jeremy Chardy, 31, France, also entered the quarter-finals of Queen’s Club Championships on June 20.
