Ara : Ghumraj Yadav of Bihia under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district, one of the named accused in the murder of Chhotak Kushwaha alias Ranjeet Bahadur Singh, 34, younger brother of Bhojpur district president HAM(S) Ranvijay Bahadur Singh alias Badak Kushwaha, surrendered before an Aracourt on June 9, 2018, and was sent to Ara jail under judicial custody. But, eight other named accused in the case are still at large.

Altogether 12 persons Pappu Singh, Rajan Singh, Deepak Singh, Dhiraj Singh of village Anar, Ram Ishwar Singh alias Chikharu Singh of Kharauni village, Bijmal Singh, Anjay Singh, Sanjay Singh of village Saheb Tola, Uday Narayan Ojha of Navadiha, Shambhu Yadav and Ghumraj Yadav of village Mela Road, and Sunil Sharma of Raja Bazaar under Bihia police station, were made named accused in the murder of Chhotak Kushwaha alias Ranjeet Bahadur Singh, son of Gopal Singh of Shiv Ji Tola under Jagdishpur police station. Chhotak Kishwaha was killed on May 27, 2018, at Saheb Tola. Land dispute was said to be the reason behind the murder.

SHO, Bihia police station, said that police had arrested Bijmal Singh and Anjay Singh earlier while Pappu Singh had surrendered before the court on June 4, 2018. Police had taken Pappu Singh on two days’ police remand for interrogation. The SHO said that police would take Ghumraj Yadav too on police remand.
